27 weeks with Baby #2

How far along? 27 weeks, almost to the 3rd trimester!!!

Total weight gain: I'm weighing in 144 so calculating after my loss I'm 14 lbs gained or I'm at 9 from my actual pre-pregnancy weight (135). I went to the doctor this week and she wasn't even phased by my weight (I suppose this is a good thing) but I was jumping for joy! Like I had mentioned this time during my last pregnancy I had gained a WHOPPING 19 lbs, and that was just in one month!!!!! My total gain at this point with Ryder was over 20, so here's to a happy healthy pregnancy and only ONE cupcake per day instead of a dozen.
Check out THIS awesome weight tracker to make sure you're staying on point. I decided to help myself make good choices I'm also trying to continue to use MyFitnessPal app to track what I eat.

Maternity clothes? New this week I found 3 amazing shirts at Target that I couldn't say no to, they are perfect scoop neck tee's and the price tag to match ($5)! I hate the idea of paying so much money for something I'm only going to be wearing for roughly 3.5 more months (if I'm lucky).

Stretch marks? No new ones this week, I hope I can keep this up because my road map looks like it's run out of room for more of those! ;P

Sleep: I've lost my deep dreams and I'm back to sleep so deep I can hardly remember my name when I wake up let alone who the man sleeping next to me is! I swear this morning I woke up to my alarm and was in such a daze I fell back asleep and didn't wake up for another 30 minutes and when I woke up my phone was in my hand and it looks like I was trying to change the time for my alarm to go off. -_______-  coffee please.

Best moment this week: Ryder got a new samurai power ranger cell phone from Brandon and he's absolutely in love with it. All he wants to do is learn how to use it like they do on TV.

Miss anything? Aside from Brandon, I think things are perfect right now. KNOCK ON WOOD I didn't just jinx myself but I'm pretty thrilled with the way things are going.

Movement: He is loving doing some pretty awesome tumbles, maybe trying to mimic his big brother's ninja moves already? He is up around 5 or 6 AM and our schedule is nothing like that! I wake up and feel him jerking and pushing and swishing around...maybe he's just getting an early start to the day with a few laps in my uterus? I have a feeling I'm going to be a very tired mama trying to adjust him to our schedule. He sleeps all day until about 3 and then he's up until 9 ish back to sleep and up again at 5/6. It is so weird!

Food cravings: I'd love some nice red meat. Maybe a rare steak... maybe in 90 days or so. I'm trying really hard to not give in to my desire to eat all the pumpkin pie blizzards within a 30 mile radius of my house, let me tell you, it's not easy.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Happy to say I'm still feeling AMAZING!

Gender: BOY!!!

Labor signs: Still no.

Symptoms: I talked with my doctor this week about my pelvic discomfort because it really has been limiting me on exercise (mostly with desire), she said to just rest and keep my legs together. HAR HAR! I guess if I'd done that I wouldn't be in this predicament would I doc? HAR HAR HAR. I also wanted to discus my discomfort and strange feeling surrounding my bellybutton. It's never quite been the same after having Ryder, but what has? Any way she looked it over and BAM small hernia and we want to keep it that way, the only other way I'd have it is gone but she said not to worry so long as my guts don't spill out of it and it doesn't turn purple. -_- seriously? I love purple, but if it bursts while I'm in labor I might lose my mind a little. How do you recover for something like that? I mean guts hanging out your belly button and delivering a baby. Symptoms... well I don't know if this is a 'symptom' but I've been so madly in love with Brandon lately it's sickening. I mean I've always been the one to leave gushy notes for him or surprise him with little do-dads but now I just want to cling to him and gaze into his big handsome blue eyes and rub his head and smother him with kisses all over his face. GAH! To counter this so I wont

Belly button in or out? (Kind of a repeat but I could talk about this thing all day)This week it's flat, and I actually talked to my doctor about it because when I laugh, cough or even sit up it protrudes much further than I've ever seen. My whole abdomen gets a little pokey in the middle when I do any of that. Well turns out I have a small hernia in my belly button, again my doctor seemed completely unfazed by it. OOOKAAAYY??? Hahaha so this mama is being careful and trying to keep her guts in, unfortunately I've been having the hardest time controlling my laughing so this may be harder than I thought.

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or moody most of the time: Ecstatic! Holidays are approaching fast and life is slowly (like a toddler trying to pick up a spaghetti noodle slow) but definitely falling into place. Unfortunately, the change in weather and season is making our little perfect almost 4 year old boy try every last nerve Mommy has! He's usually so good so when he acts out it's really hard to understand, our biggest trial right now is getting him to accept that Mommy is a grown up and makes rules too and you have to listen to her. I think by next week if Brandon and I keep the united front we have he'll get the picture.

Looking forward to: Here are my countdowns:

Halloween: 3.5 weeks
Ryder's 4th Birthday: 4 weeks
Thanksgiving: 7 weeks
Getting a Christmas Tree: 7 weeks 1 day
Brandon's Birthday: 8 weeks
Christmas: 11 weeks
New Years: 12 weeks
Baby's Due Date: 13 weeks
