Weekend Wrap Up

Friday I was bound and determined to chop some of my dead mop off! Walked into a random shop without (Third Dimension Salon) an appointment or real idea what I wanted to do. Next thing you know I'm being washed and dried and snip snip! It's kind of an in between hair do but I'm actually enjoying it a lot. It feels so healthy, and I almost wish I had cut more!! Out with the dye and in with the new!!!

PHOTOBOMB STATUS: PROFESSIONAL

After that Brandon asked Ry what he wanted for dinner and he said Red Robin (YUMM!). we checked out a new one that just opened in Lacey/Hawks Prairie, and I'd have to say I'm not impressed. Our waitress dropped off our onion rings with no appetizer plates then didn't check to see if we needed anything.. So I had to ask someone else to get them. Then when she dropped off our food we only got one fork for two salads and she NEVER came back to see how our food was. Unreal. I'm usually pretty happy to have patience for servers it's not always easy but when you see them chatting and not doing much its harder to be sympathetic. I don't plan on going back...
Doing a word cross at dinner

What kid doesn't love a balloon?!

Brandon must really love me because he then asked if I wanted to walk around target!!! Ryder wanted to finally pick a Halloween costume and I surely don't mind strolling and shopping. I found a leave in conditioner/detangler for my hair and Gain Febreeze!! I love the smell of Gain Febreeze, highly recommend it!!!
(Check Brandon's instagram @capcitybrandon for some seriously funny target pictures!)
Next stop bed!

Saturday Ryder and I were up early so we let Brandon sleep and we got ready and ran to Trader Joe's for pumpkin pancake mix! Mmmm one of my favorite fall treats. When we got back I started making them and Brandon woke up (we're not much for sleeping in around here) and ended up cooking them. Yum yum perfect start to the day.
Ryder's Breakfast

Kids Coffee (Hot coco)
We ran off to grab a coffee, hot chocolate (Olympia Coffee Roasting Co.) and Hot apple cider (SPUDS Produce Market) before playing at one of our secret spots, Burfoot Park. We had planned to play in the leaves but the fog and rain from the previous night made them all a little soggy and hard to toss around. We opted for a trip down to the beach! Ryder loves skipping rocks, I only wish I were better at it. So we all practiced.

The fog is so amazing here
We really enjoyed the fall colors today.

Before we knew it Brandon had to be at football, and yes it was only noon but we needed gas so off we were. Did I mention his game wasn't supposed to start until 1:50 & he wanted to be there at 12:45. Old news I know but that's a lot of time spent at football. Well Ryder and I came home and made lunch and played his new monkey game then decided we should rest, that never goes well until he's actually asleep. Then I napped for a bit and forgot to find out when Brandon wanted us to get him but it was already 230 so I set my alarm for 30 minutes, well I'm glad I ignored it because when he finally did call it was around 4 and he decided to stay and watch the next game. So I was wide awake with a sleeping kid and pups and nothing to do but wait. Bleh I hate football season. With how everything has been  going with realty I really value our time together, and I wish we had more of it.
After Ryder woke up, I may have bribed him with a Wendy's frosty but I just love those damn things, we were up and running and still waiting on the game to end. So my power ranger and I were off to the races.

Oh, this? It's an everyday thing.

Once we picked B up we ran out to Michaels craft store and bought some of the items we needed for Ryder's birthday party. We got melting chocolate and mustache molds! Well I've worked very little with chocolate so I thought we should do a test run at least one time before the party either Saturday night or Sunday (because I have no patience for anything).

Baby mustache.

WE DID THEM SATURDAY NIGHT! Chocolate mustache's are delicious and hilarious!

Ryder is so ready for his party!

Sunday started off with Brandon heading out to appointments while Ryder & I shared more wonderful seasonal Pumpkin Pancakes!!! We casually watched some seasonal programs on the TV while playing and cleaning. He helped clean the windows and sweep the floors, he noticed they were much too dirty.. BAD MOM!
I'm probably going to buy 10 more boxes of this before the season is over.
Then Ryder played nicely so I could take a quick shower while the laundry was washing, I love that he's at the age where 10 minutes alone can't mean complete disaster and when I call for him (to check up) he comes right to me. I'm going to miss the luxury of showering alone again all too soon! ;)
Brandon came home for a little while before noon and had offers to write up but then he couldn't finish them at home so to the office he went while I lay Ryder down for a little nap. Once Ryder was down I was able to bust out all the laundry, aside from the items still hanging in my dining room that are drying. I realized I was still watching football just moments before I had to wake Ryder up. -__- You can tell how often I control the remote, I dont even know what I would watch if I realized I could change it.
After Ryder was up we each had a slice of pizza for lunch and some frozen banana slices (YES PLEASE!) then went straight in to playing our Monkey game!! He's getting pretty good at it but it takes quite a bit of hand eye coordination and I dont even think I know the ages it's specified for, Brandon got the game for him Friday while I was getting my hair trimmed.

Ryder got a new Monkey game, it's a little challenging but pretty fun.
We were anticipating Brandon coming home for a walk but before he could he had more appointments for a few more hours. So we played and made sure the house was nice and tidy (I may be running out of things to clean), I think I'm turning Ryder into a complete clean freak because I clean every day and multiple times a day on weekends he's starting to get on Brandon's case when he leaves shoes items laying around the house. We even had a family friend have Ryder explain to her husband that shoes belong "in the closet!" It's so precious I hope he stays this clean when he's a teenager! HAHAHAHA Yeah right. After Brandon's appointments he called to say he had two offers to write up so he would be a few more hours, Ryder and I decided it might be a nice idea to bathe Stanley because he smells awful and no one wants to be around him when he stinks. After he was all fluffy and dry they snuggled in bed for a little while (as long as Stan could tolerate being stuffed under the covers) then it was Ryder's turn for a bath! A GREEN color bath and some toys, he turned into a prune long before he wanted out and I probably warmed the water two times! Then it was teeth, and bed snuggles. I knew he was over tired so it was going to be a high pitched squeaking in protest type night, he didn't last long though.

Before I knew it it was 1100 and I was falling asleep on the couch trying to keep up with Brandon, I dont think I can keep up any more this baby is draining my energy again... well him and his brother! It seems like whenever my head hits my pillow I am given two shots of coffee and wide awake again! >_< so annoying!!! Finally went to sleep because I had a doctors appointment first thing Monday morning!

Catch you Thursday!
